“RED SHOES” is the title of an original art work from Elina
Chauvet. She addresses the problem of violence against women. Elina is
launching an SOS to call all the women in the world. She sees the need to
raise our concerns against an alarming situation. In Ciudad Juarez, the fear is real and terrifying, in 2010,
79 women have been killed and 23 are missing. So far, the authorities are not
responding and they are not offering any help.
This interactive art work started in Ciudad
Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. There, 33 women are wearing RED SHOES and will be
marching. People from all over the world are invited to take part in this march
for LOVE and RESPECT towards women .
“RED SHOES”, the interactive ART EVENT
will be launched in September of 2011 in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua. If you wish
be part of this event, we invite you to send your RED SHOES in a big envelope
by mail or any other way. Please add a picture of your back from your waist to
your head. If you wish, you can write a testimony or a poem to reflect your own
experience or the experience of
other women around you. All that information will be part of an installation
that will go with the RED SHOES work. You can also participate by e-mail. You can
give us your name to be used for the credits or specify your desire of
anonymity.

Es gratificánte, encontrar mujeres como Elina Chauvet, que están dentro de la lucha porque termine la violencia hacia las mujeres; los índices nos señalan un porcentaje muy alto. El mismo ser-humano no se dá cuenta en sí, que todos partimos de la misma mujer, las personas en nuestros tiempos cada vez carentes de sentimientos, es consecuencia de una vida sin amor y atención. ResponderEliminarno tienen que ser nuevos, ni bonitos, si usados, puedes conseguirlos en segundas, o pintarlos, es el gesto lo que vale, la solidaridad que tanto necesitamos, no podemos seguir permitiendo tanta violencia sin manifestarnos en su contra, yo desde mi trinchera.............

zapatos rojos, zapatillas llenas de sueños, de danzas, de ilusiones, de mujeres apasionadas que eligen tal color, pero también que reflejan la sangre que mancha los pasos por la vida de éstas hasta encontrarse con la fatalidad.
una fatalidad que no dabería de existir en ningún rincón del mundo. la lucha es enorme pues somos todo un mundo de mujeres que nosvemos agredidas de una u otra manera todos los días. yo voy con pasos firmes y descalza, he aprendido a marchar aún sangrandome las plantas de los pies....y siempre que tengo la capacidad aún con pies descalzos es mi obligación y sentimiento genuino el cargar con el sufrimiento de mis compañeras las niñas, las adolescentes, las mujeres en plenitud, las ancianas y aún las muertas....
